Lately, I've been reading a lot of very popular authors: Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Haruki Murakami ... The latest book was part of Pterry's Disworld series, Monstrous Regiment. Although it's considered to be part of the Industrial Revolution books, it does well enough as a stand-alone and introduction to the series. One of the most enjoyable things about this book is a build-up to a really grand reveal that doesn't feel forced, stereotypical or lazily done, which nowadays is quite rare. I definitely recommend it!
